What does it mean to be “certified” in a Lominger tool suite?
Certification in a Lominger tool suite is the result of endorsement by a Lominger facilitator for demonstrated comprehension of content and commitment to best practice application of the tool. Some Lominger tool suites require certification to assure applied practice and knowledge transfer for advanced tools.
Who can become certified?
Certification is provided to individuals rather than organizations. Should you become certified in a Lominger tool suite, you are able to bring your certification with you into future roles at other companies. Certification enables you to purchase restricted products (in that area), apply the Lomigner tool within your organization, communiate to and engage others in your efforts. It does not enable you to certify others in the tool.
A note about consultants...
Certification opportunities are slightly different for independent consultants or consulting organizations. Consultants can attend LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® as well as become certified in VOICES® (our 360 feedback tool). VOICES® certification allows consultants to deliver 360 feedback and use the instrument via the Lominger Global Survey Center. Certification (in these product areas) allows consultants to use these tools with all their clients.
In other instances, a consultant may already be working on a project or engaged with an organization, and be invited to attend a Lominger certifiation by a sponsoring company. The consultant would only be certified for work w! ithin th at organization, and would not be considered certified if working with another client in those product lines. For CHOICES®/LEARNING FROM EXPERIENCE™ (LFE) Interviewing, INTERVIEW ARCHITECT®, STRATEGIC EFFECTIVENESS ARCHITECT™ , and PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT ARCHITECT® the certification is only valid within that one/specific/sponsoring organization. In addition, when a Lominger client invites a consultant to be certified, we ask that another member of the organization is also certified, to ensure there is a knowledgeable internal resource embedded within the organization.
When registering for certifications, consultants should notify us at events@lominger.com so we can process your attendance within the above guidelines. Client letters of engagement for invited consultants must be provided at time of registration for CHOICES®/LEARNING FROM EXPERIENCE™ (LFE) Interviewing, INTERVIEW ARCHITECT® , STRATEGIC EFFECTIVENESS ARCHITECT™and PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT ARCHITECT® .
What can I do with certification in a Lominger tool?
When you become certified in a tool suite, you are able to purchase restricted items from the suite and lead best practice applications in your organization according to the uses outlined in your User’s Manual and certification materials. Please note that while you may educate others in your organization in the use of some applications, certification results only from training by a Lominger facilitator.
The certified individual in an organization is responsible for the proper use of the Lominger tool and protection of Lominger’s copyrights and trademarks. Certification does not grant permission to copy from, reprint, or modify Lominger products. All of these activities require an intellectual property license.

Which tool suites require certification?
Certification is required for the product families listed below. The LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® 101: Understanding Competencies Workshop is a prerequisite for all advanced certifications.

Please note: Certification in one tool suite does not result in certification in a separate tool suite. For example, becoming certified in CHOICES ARCHITECT® would not grant the ability to purchase INTERVIEW ARCHITECT® materials, as INTERVIEW ARCHITECT® is a separate certification.
How do I become certified?
There are three options to become certified in a Lominger tool suite. First, you may attend a Lominger public certification course. These courses are offered throughout the year in Minneapolis, Minnesota near Lominger’s home office. Public certification courses are also offered pre- and post Lominger LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® Conferences.

Second, you may become certified by Lominger Consulting. Lominger Consulting provides private or in-house certifications for organizations. Third, you may be certified by a member of Lominger’s Global Associate Network. Lominger Associates conduct private certifications for organizations and also hold open certifications across the United States and throughout the world.

LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® 101 is a prerequisite for advanced certification to provide a solid foundation in the core of Lominger content and research. This improves the quality of advanced courses, as all attendees enter with a common language for development and a foundation in Lominger research and terminology.
